When Collecting Wood Wrap In Newspaper ! 
The other day when I was getting wood for our slow combustion fire, I had a great idea, so I  thought it was worth sharing with you all, (boy its been cold).I was collecting wood to bring inside when I thought why not wrap them as I pick them up in newspaper, that will save me getting dirty hands from the wood, then you can put it straight into the fire saves a lot of mess, I can tell you. I made a wood carry bag a few years ago which is also great for filling with wood to bring inside. I did a post on it earlier on, in my blog, I may do a tutorial to make one, they are so handy, also saves so much mess going all over the floor. We have a wheel barrow that we fill with chopped wood that is on our front verandah in case its raining when we need to collect more, saves us getting wet.

We love eating macadamia nuts and now that we have our wonderful nut cracker it has simplified our life ! We used to use a macadamia cracker called a BONK which stands for Bart's Original Nut Kracker!which we brought when we were in Queensland . But after so much use the thread wore , my dad said it was made with the wrong type of thread in the first place, he was going to fix it for us.But now we have our deluxe super dooper one no need ! Actually I will get him to fix it ,then that can be our travelling one !We took a drive yesterday and brought more macadamia nuts as we had nearly run out,we brought 20 kilos of macadamias that should last us a while they are new seasons so will last a while. I had done a draft  blog about a month ago to put on here ,but other things keep on popping into my mind. After reading Grass Roots magazine that I got from the library the other day I saw our nut cracker and thought I will put blog on very soon and we were going to buy some more macadamias so perfect timing today ! Apple Cutter !

Apple Cutter !
The apple cutter is fabulous.
Friends brought if for me from Ikea which was a lovely surprise and I've been using it a lot . I cooked roast pork last weekend and made a pot of apple sauce I peeled and cut the apples very quickly with my new kitchen gadget . I've made a few apple cakes which require a kilo of apples each time . It's a real time saver !
I've been experimenting with it ,to find out what else I can cut with it I will continue to do so and post any updates on my success and failure attempts.  So far I've used it to cut potato wedges, cut tomatoes with success. Tried  to cut an orange that some one had suggested to me , my thought was it would squirt every where which it did . Been thinking of trying it on onions I haven't as yet . I would highly recommend it to you all  if you haven't got one already !. A real time saver !

I'm always working on decluttering ! I have been for ages and still reading books on how to do!
Even purchased a DVD from the US last year from Peter Walsh ( the declutter Guru from Oprah))
In one of my earlier posts about decluttering, I went to a workshop at Howard's storage world.
I know you are all thinking she should be an expert by now ! I'll let you know when I become one !
So hopefully I will master it one day ! One day soon I hope ! I'm learning things all the time and
putting some into action ! I was talking to my friend Debbie this morning who couldn't find a bill she
had paid. I thought to myself that part of my life is very organised . And I told her what we do ,she
is a work in progress just like myself and probably a million others !

Freeze Parsley

Here is a quick tip: When you have excess parsley that you know you won't get to use before going bad.
Put it in a plastic bag and pop into the freezer. When you need some for a recipe scrunch the bag of parsley and it will get broken into tiny pieces , saves finely chopping it . A real time saver!
