Worm Farms !

Worm Farms !
We've had our worm farm about 18 months and it's great. They are thriving,we feed them teabags, tissues   cardboard, paper, egg shells, fruit and vegetables peels,
also sandwiches that don't get eaten for lunch at school. They love just about anything except onion, citrus and garlic. I love putting the worm juice on our vegetables and herbs. I keep a large glass jar with the tap on all the time to catch all the worm juice ! We keep them in a cool place and make sure they are well fed , and they pretty much look after themselves ! Another great way to recycle ! I never put any food scraps into our wheelie bin !When the worm farm is full I put the excess in our kitchen scrap bucket for the garden. If you haven't got a worm farm I would recommend one they are so great and exceptionally low maintenance !Actually no real maintenance just feed them !
You could even make your own there are plenty of websites that show you how! I came across a company advertising in the grass roots magazine selling worms mailed to your door Australia wide $43.00 for a 1000 worms! The company is called kookaburrawormfarms
Visit them at their website  www.kookaburrawormfarms.com.au/   or to place orders   orders@worms.net.au
