Keep Your Strawberries Fresh For Longer !

Keep your strawberries fresh !
Don't you just find it frustrating when you buy strawberries and a day or two later they have started to mould before you even get to eat them. What a waste of good money. Here is a great tip, when you buy them next time wash them in 1 part apple cider vinegar to 10 parts water, that will stop them going mouldy. The vinegar kills any mould spores and other bacteria that may be on the surface of the fruit. Then store them in the fridge in a sealed container and they should stay fresh from one to  two weeks. You could also do this with other berries. So enjoy your beautiful fresh luscoius strawberries yummo ...

  1. Never get a chance to go into storage here, we just pick 'em and eat 'em straight away.

  2. Hi Deb, when you pick them fresh and eat them that's great, but some of us have to buy them , we tried growing them, they were looking beautiful and something ate them all. We had then fully enclosed with chicken wire but something still got in and ate them all...very frustrating I can tell you ....
