Here is another recycling project, growing flowers in old tyres, wow don't these look pretty and colourful ! You could just keep them black and fill them with pretty flowers. Years ago I used to grow potatoes in old tyres, but found it wasn't very healthy with all the toxic chemicals so never did it again.
I've never been a fan of planting in tires, but these ones rock! I love the bright colours, it all looks so happy.

I really think tyres are an under used resource, there is so much they can be used for.

I know people that have used them as steps and as a retaining wall but they aren't bright and cheerful like these ones.

These look amazing! I have a stack of old tyres here and had thought of using them for growing potatoes but I too also worried about growing food in them so never did. This however is a wonderful idea :) I'm so glad I've discovered this blog!
