Anzac biscuit recipe

Anzac biscuits are Kev's favorite ! I made a batch last night ,here is my recipe
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
3 1/2 cups wholemeal plain flour
2 cups coconut
1 1/2 cups raw sugar
250 grams butter
3 tablespoons golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
3/4 cup boiling water.
pre heat oven , fanforced 160 degrees
mix all the dry ingredients.melt butter and golden syrup in saucepan. then add soda to boiling water then add to butter mixture then mix with dry ingredients. roll into balls very large walnut size then flatten out cook for 15 minutes or untill golden brown . makes 50 good size biscuits.
Tip I line the trays with gladbake, saves washing up and no need to grease trays. And then brush off crumbs and roll up and keep to use over and over again when making biscuits .
