Meat Trays ! What To Do With Them !

Used Meat Trays !
First of all I wash them really well in hot soapy water to make sure they are really very clean !
What can we do with them ! I take a lot of them to my sons school , they use them in the art room for paint palette's. I use them if my son Jack needs to take a plate of food to school, that way it doesn't need to come back home, Saves loosing plates ! Can be used for serving dishes at parties and BBQ's. They are great to use if making craft projects and using glues, saves getting glue on table where you are working . They are also great if you are beading, keeps all the beads in the tray. They can be cut into shapes for making stencils. Put home made chocolates ,cookies and cakes etc on the trays and wrap them in cellophane they make lovely gifts.( I'm thinking chocolate covered strawberries). I love serving my sushi on them they look more impressive on the black tray ! Also you can make model planes, doll house furniture. So many uses ! The large ones are great when children are building with the really small leggo blocks. You could use them for make up trays. Storing all sorts of things from nail polish to nuts and bolts ! Please add any others you can think of !

  3. I put one down in the bottom of my trash can to catch any juices. it can be rinsed later when the can is emptied. Or use in in the bottom of a paper bag in the kitchen waste basket and just throw it away with the bag. When I freeze meat I cut a tray the same size aas the piece of meat and sandwhich the meat between it in a zip bag. It keeps freezer furn down. Sarah

  5. As a former teacher and OSHC program coordinator,I used to dampen a thick kitchen sponge, place it on a meat tray and then pour some poster colour on the sponge...push the colour into the sponge with the back of a spoon. It was then ready as a 'stamp pad' for potato printing of objects printing. Another thing I used them for was a weaving frame. Cut out a rectangle leaving a 'frame' then load up a darning needle with wool or thick cotton and stitch across the tray in parallel lines. then the children would weave threads over and under across this weft or is it warp? lol
