Make Your Own Envelopes From An Old Street Directory !

Make Your Own Envelopes From An Old Street Directory !
I have posted before about making envelopes, but not from an old street directory. I think these look great, they look as if they are meant to travel, if you know what I mean. They are very easy to make just make a template from an old envelope the size you want to make then cut out, fold then glue edges. Way too simple, again some may say why bother, but I say why not, just another recycled project, saves a little money to buy the things we cannot make. To make them quicker, I cut about 6 at a time, I used paper clips to hold the paper together then cut.I put a strip of double sided tape on the inside flap so you just peel off the paper to seal the envelope. I picked pages that had mostly blue with the print at one side so it's easier to see address on the front. You could also make larger envelopes and line them with reused bubble wrap to send parcels.

Your ideas and ways to save are the best I have seen in a long time, I have been looking over your older posts and have so many ideas of stuff I want to do and gifts for Christmas I am going to be busy all year. THANKS DOES EXPRESS FEELINGS RIGHT NOW. You have a new follower now and I WILL BE SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT YOUR BLOG. Thanks and have a double good weekend.

  4. Thanks Sam, Rainbow & Dmarie for all your wonderful feed back :) makes blogging so much more rewarding ... Rainbow after reading your comments I had a huge smile on my face you made my day :):)I love reading all your comments:):).
Hi Sam,I thought I would do a series of uses through out the week and as I make each project I take photo's for each new blog post. It will take me ages to use it all up. I could have just written a list of uses but I think people like seeing photos of each project, I know I do. So a few more days yet to go, then there will be a few that I will write on a list. Other wise every one will get sick and tired of Uses for an street directory uses !lol

  5. awesome idea, I would totally do this, even though I don't much like cutting up my pretty maps. I'd definitely use some other kind of junk-mail type paper to cut down on my throw-away volume. Thanks for sharing :) I hope you don't mind if I feature your post on my blog? I'm running out of time this week, but perhaps next week? It's a totally novel way to reduce waste and reuse what we already have on hand. Thanks!
